Hanging out with friends before Nathan and Amy leave for Haiti
I had to get a new passport on Tuesday and it ended up only taking 20 minutes (I'd spent around four hours the previous day trying to get it), so I decided to visit some places in Los Angeles I hadn't really seen before. First I went to Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills. The upscale stores gave me flashbacks to Guam, and I bought the only thing I could afford: cupcakes from the famous Sprinkles Cupcakes (about $4 each). The houses I saw in my quick twenty minute sprint through Beverly Hills were not massive, but were beautifully landscaped and a lot nicer than the majority of homes in Los Angeles. I just wonder what the cost of those houses could get them in Tennessee.

Next I went to Venice Beach and witnessed all sorts of cookiness. It sort of reminded me of Manitou, but with a beach instead of mountains.
Watch this incredible air guitar!
This crazy fella jumped into broken glass
Wednesday Darren and I returned to one of our favorite climbing areas, Tahquitz to climb Whodunit (5.9, 8 pitches--we did it in 6)
Rock Warriors!

We aren't sure we found the correct path down the mountain, but we eventually made it to our car after sunset. We were glad we brought our headlamps!
