Young Adult Retreat

We don't really know any young people at our church, but thankfully our friends in Denver have a great youth group and we were invited to join them on their annual trip to the Breckenridge area for worship, hot tubing, playing in the snow, and skiing.  

On Saturday, we had worship, then snowshoed to a hill where we sledded and Jay taught how to self arrest.

On Sunday, most of us went to Keystone and proved ourselves in the Outback.

Family Time

Darren and I returned to Tennessee for my grandfather's funeral.  Although it was a very sad time, it was also an opportunity to spend time with my dearly missed family.  Of course, the circumstances were sucky especially because I know I won't be able to be with my grandpa until the second coming.

But, I won't deny that we still had some fun during the weekend.  A group of us cousins got together and went bowling, played video games, and even participated in some laser tag.  Yes, we are all in our 20s and 30s.

And, of course, to Provinos where my uncle demonstrated his ever present love for magic tricks

And the next day we took turns flying his glider and enjoying some final family time

San Valentin

This is our fourth valentines:

1.  Eating Pink Berry and watching The Simpsons in the car 'cause it was too cold in the park
2.  Hot springing for a hot and steamy Valentines at the Hoover Dam
3.  We had super spicy Thai food in Guam in honor of our honeymoon.  I asked for 5 out of 10 on the spiciness scale.  Big mistake.
4.  This year Darren gave me flowers, chocolates, a voucher for a massage, and a five course meal out at a Moroccan restaurant in honor of the country we went to right after we got engaged.  I gotta say I was a sucker for all the traditional gifts.  I LOVED every part of this Valentines Day.  More importantly, I love my man.  Happy Valentines Day!
