My friend Joy wins so far with being the most supportive capoeira friend of mine. She drove all the way down from Fort Collins to watch me perform with a bunch of other capoeiristas in a Brazil program. The gals and I did a samba number that we had been practicing for several weeks. It was super fun, and I hope I can find a video to post of it.
After the weekend, Bob visited for a few days...just 'cause she misses us. She and I mostly enjoyed exploring our little town, eating fondue, and while we worked she did motherly things like wash our base boards, do our laundry, and buy a guest bed. The blow up mattress wasn't cutting it.
