Touching the Tufa

Our first day in the South we explored Railay West at the 1-2-3 Wall.  We were shocked at the number of people at the crag.  Apparently this is where all the guides take their clients.  Once guide cracked us up by pointing out every single minute detail to one of his climbers.  "Left foot on that right ledge!"



We ate and drank "real coffee" back near our bungalow.  Afterwards we hiked to a lagoon we saw on a map.  We were surprised to find that it was a somewhat steep climb up and then descent down.  We enjoyed playing with the mud and looking at everyone's creations.










After the lagoon we found the most spectacular beach of the trip.  There was a cave with penis figures and a rock nearby from which we went cliff jumping.  We then caved through the Grand Wall and rappelled conveniently onto our beach.
