As I mentioned in my previous entry (that was original from 2007), Paul very graciously arranged for us to take a boat up the Amazon and stay at his camp over the river. I remember watching the Bora tribe dance, selling and trading for various handmade items from them, and then boating to a Serpentarium. There I got to hold a sloth, monkey, snake, and caiman. It was awesome! We slept on a platform and I think we actually had tents. In the morning we ate our breakfast out of plastic bags because we forgot to buy utensils. Jonathan and I were all about it.
